Awesome Tee’s in a Star Wars Nerd™ kinda way!
Thanks to Chris D for the heads up — his company’s portfolio is an essential look too.
A great 70 minute mix dedicated to one of the finest beat makers around — the RZA.
“What resulted was my most ambitious mix yet, a 70-minute juggernaut of
continuous music from this period, shading the dirtiest and darkest of
RZA’s early beats with the brighter, more melodic work that would
dominate Ironman (1996) and Wu-Tang Forever.
If I was enlightened by anything during its creation it would be this:
despite the staggering degree of familiarity, these beats remain
absolutely, undeniably timeless.”
There’s also a load of great stuff on the site from other mixes (Pete Rock + Dj Premier) to written pieces on beat making and producers. Quality.
Thanks to The Moif for the link
Right? No definately Wrong. Very Wrong!!!! Asger Carlsen is a Danish photographer with a slight.. disturbingly different approach.
If you’re around Bristol at the end of November then head down to this exhibition by ehquestionmark and friends. And if you’re not, then head down there — should be excellent.
United Visual Artists.
Stunning. (No More needs to be said.)

I wish my mom had been this creative with my packed lunches.
The Rubix Cube gets a new look with Andrew Fentem's 'Febtix Cube'. I now know exactly what I want for Christmas. Check out his work for some rather nifty (that's techinal terms for inspiring) interactive devices.
Sheesh - the Internet can be almost too fast. Yesterday I posted a pic I found on some obscure Star Wars website. Today that has been linked up on FFFFOUND! which is a site I’d not seen before. I’m glad I did, it’s fantastic. Here’s the dealy…
“FFFFOUND! is a web service that not only allows the users to post and share their favorite images found on the web, but also dynamically recommends each user's tastes and interests for an inspirational image-bookmarking experience!!”
Follow the link below to view some of the images I’m digging already from my brief 30 second look. Wow… I’m going to be on here all night looong!

A while back we did a presentation to a bunch of illustrators from on the art of self promotion. The result of the sessions was 7x7 — a piece of self promotion which they then used to send to commisioners and other people in the know.
I used to love making compilation / mixtapes for self, friends and lovers. The time and care that would go into the crafting of a C90 tape; selecting the tracks, setting the recording levels, making fine (or seamless) edits and designing the cover. This art is lost today with the simplicity of burning a CD from iTunes. This USB device is pretty funny, we may have lost the fine art, but the memory lives on.
Sellotape dispenser. Found on I want one of those.
Mini guitar MP3 player and amp. Found on gadget box.
I came across Colour Lovers last night and I really liked the concept. It’s simple, members create and share their colour palette creations. These are all rated and reviewed. The news section is also very cool with various colour related articles and user submitted colour palette comments. All round good stuff — a simple idea executed well.
Here’s a palette based on our backgrounnd beige colour…
To follow on from Nessa’s post below, here’s a mug that I think we should get for the TAK! Towers studio — some peeps here need tea tonal training. One side of the cup features tea tones, the other coffee. Click here for more info…
